2024: The year so far, and what’s next

The 2024 season kicked off with the first show of the year on 1st and 2nd March. A re-working of the Country Date Night show that was originally a 'One Night Only' performance, was remodeled with a new storyline, removal of some songs and the addition of a whole bunch of new songs. The original cast of Michael Lowe, Ben Foley, Rechelle Naughton, Sheridan Riles, Heidi Willsher and Jane Wray, teamed up with Leonie Loveday as the new host, starring as "Dolly Lovenight."

The show featured new costumes and stage development and included the audience for a feel good sing along of "Islands in the Stream" to close out the show.

The team also took to the road and made a special visit to Viewhaven retirement home (now known as Uniting) in Crookwell, singing a handful of songs for the residents and inviting them to sing along too.

What's Next?

A theatre production "Keeping Up Appearances" is proposed for September this year. Casting is underway, keep an eye out on CADS social media pages for regular updates on auditions and relevant information.

A musical production centered around rock music is currently in the works penciled in for the last two weekends in November. Don't forget to save the dates.

CADS would like to thank the community for their ongoing patronage and support.
